 World class ballet gala program finally revealed

 The program for the grand ballet gala at Nokia Concert Hall on April 8 has been revealed.

The show will feature performances from world famous soloists from the planet’s leading theaters and theater groups. An array of the most renowned ballet artists will take the Estonian stage for the first time in short pieces, directed by ballet’s most stellar choreographers.

 The ballet gala includes the most excellent dance acts of classical repertoire as well as contemporary ballet’s most outstanding innovations. The grand ballet gala stands as a grandiose introduction of various ballet traditions and schools of the Western world. Items featured in the program were selected from productions by contemporary ballet’s foremost choreographers which have influenced and shaped modern ballet.

The show will thus showcase for the viewers’ enjoyment the most brilliant etudes from Don Quixote and Swan Lake, contrasted by Forsythe’s modern ballet’s contemporary style.

 The ballet gala will boast a performance by Rolando Sarabia, claimed as one of the most talented dancers of the Western world and a successor to Mikhail Baryshnikov. Sarabia, a star of New York City Ballet among other things, is the winner of a numerous international competitions. The world class ballet gala will be glorified by performances from a number of additional ballet stars, including Jurgita Dronina from a leading ballet theater in the Netherlands and Vladimir Malakov from Staatsballett Berlin.

 Estonian dancers Alena Skhatula and Maksim Tsukarjov will also perform at the gala.

The night’s list of ballet artists without exception contains but the crème de la crème of the field.
